Can’t add cards to Apple Pay

I have recently switched to the new iPhone 14 pro from my iPhone 13- and restored everything from iCloud.

when trying to set Apple Pay on my new iPhone I keep receiving the message “could not connect to Apple Pay”, no matter what I do!

the things I have done already:

  • talked to Apple support on the phone, nothing helped.
  • logged out and back in to my Apple id
  • removed PayPal from my Apple ID and added my card that I wanted to use with Apple Pay
  • checked that my region is the correct one.

i Feel like I have tried it all and I can’t seem to get any help, so if anyone had ever experienced that issue I would love to hear a solution :)

  • I have to mention that the cards are still available on my Apple Watch since they stayed on it from my old iPhone, and its annoying to only rely on it to pay everywhere..

im adding a sc of the error I get. Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

Try the following:

  • Be sure to activate your card before attempting to add it to Apple Wallet.
  • Be sure card has not expired.
  • Be sure to verify all information on the card matches exactly.

Apple Pay Support

If none of those work, then try linking the payment method:

Open Settings ➢ your name at the top of the list ➢ Payment & ShippingAdd Payment Method.

Once the payment method has been added, you will have the option to link it to Apple Pay.
