Apple Music widget on IOS 16.0.2

Hello,

The Widget music app automatically playing a radio station instead of playing the actual recent playlists or album I've been listening to.

Every time I open the widget of music app/ press play on my iPhone, it opens a random radio station and starts playing. I then need to go into Library and choose the playlist or album i've been listening to, and to the song where i was at...as opposed to the app just picking up where i left off.

How can I prevent the radio stations from showing in the widgets and show instead my own playlists? Is this even possible? If not, that's fine - I'll just delete the widget as it's a waste of time and space on my home screen as this doesn’t happen If I open the app normally, by clicking on the icon and not on the widget.

Basically, is there any way to make what I’ve actually recently listened to appear in the widget?

Thanks,

MS

Hey mighty_scoop,

The Apple Music widget should show your recently played list if you've listened to a song before. Which iOS version is your iPhone currently running? You can locate this info under Settings > General > About. If it's not running the latest version which is iOS 16.0.2, we suggest that you update the device and try again.

If the issue continues even after you updated your device, we recommend that you reach out to Apple Support team next: Contact Apple for support and service

Cheers!
