what password is being requested for encrypted data restore

When trying to restore new iphone from backup on my pc, they are asking for password. But not accepting my apple id password or phone passcode. Then what are they looking for?

It would be the password that you used when you encrypted the backup. If you don’t know the password for the backup, you can’t use the backup You can reset a new password for backups moving forward, but it won’t work on the old backup. See this for more information.
