I am unable to use my iPhone while abroad without wifi with cellular on. Any suggestions?

I on the other hand am not able to turn on that feature. I’m able to hook up through his phone as a using his hotspot but The option for me to hook up is not available. The help person at AT&T suggested that I re-reboot my phone, which kind of scares me because I don’t wanna lose anything and you know you have to go to a setting. I’m not sure if this is my carriers problem or my iPhone I sure would love some guidance and reassurance that rebooting my iPhone to its original settings. IPhone 14 plus cellular issues. My iPhone 14 plus is basically useless outside of my house. Only way I can use my phone when I leave now is if I am at a place that has free WiFi. The kicker is my wife has an iPhone 14 Pro and has no issues. We will be sitting next to each other at dinner or in the car and her phone has 4 or 5 bars and I am on SOS or E. I have been to T-Mobile 2 different times and they said it's a hardware issue and my phone is still under Apple Care warranty and to go to Apple. T-Mobile even opened a ticket to see if there were tower issues in the area. But it is anywhere I go. And I live in a suburb of Los Angeles. When I go to the Apple Store they run a diagnostic on the phone and say they don't see any issues. I reset network settings. I even started the phone over from scratch just to see if maybe was one of my cloud backups causing the issue. I can't even go for a walk in my neighborhood and listen to Spotify because the phone won't connect to the internet. Anyone else have this problem? I want to think that if I went down to an iPhone 13 that it might even be better. I feel trapped. I use the phone for maps, music, podcasts, etc. I commute 90 minutes each way to work and half the time the phone shuts off mid-song or in the middle of an audible book.

iPhone is connected to WiFi but uses only mobile data (WiFi Assist is OFF) Hello! I have an issue with my iPhone lately that seems to be connected to my WiFi network but uses mobile data. As you can see from the photo below, in the phone's WiFi settings, it looks as if it is connected to my WiFi router (SlowHorses), but on the top right corner the signal indicates that it uses my carrier's data. If i turn the mobile data off, no WiFi icon appears and I have no access to internet. As I have read in my search, WiFi assist is a setting that affects that kind of behaviour, so I have this off. Still the problem remains and my phone shows as connected to WiFi but uses carrier data. Every other device in my home is running perfectly on my WiFi, including my AppleTV and iPad that can connect to my router. Can anyone suggest a solution, since this is a problem that seems to disrupt other devices such as my HomePod Minis and other smart devices?

Then contact your carrier, they may have set restrictions to allow it for only phone service, no data.

Ask your carrier about an international SIM.

I can only use my phone if I have wifi. It doesn’t work on the street except for calling or receiving calls.
