Hello Sector022,
Viber is a 3rd party application, not made by Apple so you'd want to contact them if you're having issues with it.
Here's some steps they have on their support site for transferring the app data from one device to another:
Step 1: Back up your history on your old phone
Before you begin, make sure that Viber is set up to back up either to your Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iOS).
To back up Viber to the cloud:
- Open Viber on your phone
- Tap on More
(Android)
(iOS) - Tap on Settings

- Tap on Account

- Tap on Viber Backup
- Tap Auto backup to select how often you’d like to sync your data:
● Daily
● Weekly
● Monthly
● Off
7. Select if you want your Photos and Videos to also be backed up
8. Tap on Back Up Now
Step 2: Activate Viber on your new phone
Download Viber onto your new phone and activate it using the phone number connected to your Viber account.
For more information, take a look at the Get Started article.
Step 3: Restore your chat history
After activating Viber, you will be prompted to Restore Viber Content. This process takes time and data, so it’s best to be connected to wifi.
You can delay restoring your chat history and manually complete this step at a later time. Please note that any new messages that you receive in the meantime will not be saved as the restore will revert your chat history to what it was at the time of backup.
To manually restore your chat history:
- Open Viber on your new phone
- Tap on More
(Android)
(iOS) - Tap on Settings

- Tap on Account

- Tap on Viber Backup
- Tap on Restore
- Select Restore Now
Transfer Your Chat History From One Phone to Another
Cheers!
