Wireless printer

Since I upgraded to an iPhone 11 I cannot print on my wireless printer. When I pick the network for the printer it says the network is unsecured and shuts it down. I’ve rebooted everything and restored network settings. Is there another setting? Or workaround? I just need to print 2 forms. Thanks

Thank you for the information.

A Canon TS3320 and other TS33xx models are listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support. These models support the driverless AirPrint technology, and can be used without additional apps/software, provided that the printer is connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router) as an iPad, an iPhone, or a macOS computer.

>It is a wi-fi from a router. It will bring up the Cannon as a network

The Wi-Fi router would create a Wi-Fi network. Your iPhone would be connected to this Wi-Fi network. Check that the Canon TS33xx is connected to this Wi-Fi network as well. That is, the iPhone and the Canon printer must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network (provided by the router).

Do not connect to any built-in "direct" network provided by the printer.

If necessary, if the Wi-Fi router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), it should be possible to use either a push-button or a PIN method for a WPS connection of the printer to the Wi-Fi router.

Please note that the TS33xx printer works with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

In case of an AirPrint discovery problem, once a correct setup has been carried out, you could try a procedure like this (in the order described, including the waiting times):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the Canon printer, the iPhone, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the Canon printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhone. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
