Iphone 11 unable to connect to wifi p

Hi

Think this is well documented problem but solutions don’t work for me. Had been using old phone 7 to print WiFi for ages. (HP) Inherited an iPhone 11 a few weeks ago and this just can’t find the printer. Tried resetting router and printer. Also reset network settings on phone.

Can anyone help please?

Thank you

(Am using iOS 16.3.1)

Hi again

Thanks for continued help. I forgot about HP app. Already had it from b4. Logged into it now. However… no idea how I use it to “verify AirPrint status”. That option doesn’t seem to exist. The Printer is connected to network, has ip address, wife using it with her iPhone 11!

I think I sorted it. (Had to use the app, then complete (rather than add new printer) I was then able to print with the app (and without using the app)

Only thing is, printer doesn’t appear in devises in settings/Bluetooth. Is that right?

Thanks

Have you downloaded the HP Smart app? You can verify the AirPrint status using the app and choosing Network setting or possibly typing printer IP address into Safari. The printer IP address should be available in the Wireless Summary menu on your printer and choose Network Settings. The HP app should not be required to print, but does allow remote access to printer that might be able to diagnose a problem.

That is correct, the printer will not show up in the Bluetooth settings.

Glad you got things sorted out. You should be good to go now and be able to print any page using the standard print dialog without having to print from the HP app. For some reason, using the HP app for initial setup on device seems to get things going, even though it is not required to print.
