iMessage and iCloud accounts are different

I can’t access iMessage or FaceTime. I keep getting a error message that the iCloud and IMessage accounts are different. I have literally tried everything that I have Googled.

Hi K_barnes51,

You started from a good resource. Use Messages on your iPhone or iPad

It sounds like you may use two different accounts for your Apple ID purchases and iCloud account. If you have Messages for iCloud enabled you'll need to make sure the account listed matches the one listed in Settings > [Your name]. The article here can assist: Use Messages in iCloud

Next, check and complete the steps outlined here: If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime

You can also verify the Apple ID you use here: Apple ID Manage and check your account details in iMessage and FaceTime with these steps here: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime

Cheers.
