I am using “upgraded” reminders and can’t restore a deleted reminders file from either the Cloud or external drive. I do not want to continue using Reminders if they cannot be restored. Is there another option to successfully restore files on reminders? Thanks

Note: If you’re using upgraded reminders, you can’t restore reminders.
You mentioned an external hard drive. To clarify, are you referring to a Time Machine backup of a Mac? If so, it might be possible to restore Reminders using these steps: Restore items backed up with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support
