iPhone 14 pro max died

The same thing happened to me 2 days ago, after charging my phone overnight. Fortunately I found this forum tonight and finally was able to restart my 5 month old 14 Pro Max, before going to the Apple store tomorrow. Definitely a frustrating problem and hopefully it won't happen again.

Thank you for posting this reboot trick! Woke up this morning to a dead iphone 14pro max (which I purchased less than a month ago). Similar to the other happenings on this page, I left it charging overnight and it wouldn't switch on this morning. The volume buttons and power button pressing worked. You have saved me a trip to the apple store and a lot of stress.

Wow glad I found this thread! I woke up to a dead phone like everyone else! I have the 14. This trick works but I have to say like others it took about 6-8 tries for it to finally come up with the apple logo!!!

I just kept doing it and doing it, nerve wracking lol

Worked for me too. Thank you! Any insight into how to prevent this from happening in the future? This has my alarm, so it's a big deal -- I rely on this not happening (!!!!).

Same here! So frustrating that a $1300 phone would do this. My old iPhone 8+ was perfect for 4+ years. Not 1 issue. Curious... Did this happen to you again after the first time?

I did the same to hard start, it is all good now, thank you very much, this saves me a trip.
