My iPhone keeps changing the wallpaper when I charge it or when I reastart it. Is that normal? It happened after updating to iOS 16

Completely annoying. It gives you the option to “set as current”, but then changes at random on its own. I’ve tried everything to keep it on my CHOSEN wallpaper to no avail. Definitely something that needs fixed.

My wallpaper changes every time I turn my phone on in the morning or after turning it on after using ‘slide to power off’ button. Please someone help me!
With my phone I can’t set wallpaper for more than 1 focus.
Its been happening to me too on my iphone 14 did apple told me keeps happening they are running diagnostics and they are supposed to call me back

I have tried to change the settings so many times. It’s so annoying seems to change essentially every time I plug it in.
I fixed it by simply making both of my wallpapers the same. Now if it switches I don’t notice or care. It’s still ducked up but that’s my little workaround!
