Hi---I cannot log out all the devices wherein I had my appleid signed. When I go to the appleid.apple.com site or end my session on my mobile phone, it says iMessages are not the same as the Apple ID, as if I were still logged in to a different device. It says iMessage in iCloud are different or do not match, or words to that effect.

What you are describing would be expected if you are using another Apple ID for iMessages.
"To resolve this, follow these steps:
1. Turn off Messages in iCloud in Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
2. Turn off iMessage in Settings > Messages.
3. Turn off FaceTime in Settings > FaceTime.
4. Restart the iPhone.
5. Turn on iMessage in Settings > Messages.
6. Turn on FaceTime in Settings > FaceTime
7. Wait 5 minutes.
8. Turn on Messages in iCloud in Settings > [your name] > iCloud."
