I tried to work a little bit with the terminal. From the root I tried following commands

Franks-MacBook-Air:/ frankstrobel$ cd Volumes/Macintosh\ HD

Franks-MacBook-Air:Macintosh HD frankstrobel$ cd Users/

Franks-MacBook-Air:Users frankstrobel$ cd frankstrobel/

Franks-MacBook-Air:frankstrobel frankstrobel$ cd Desktop/

Franks-MacBook-Air:Desktop frankstrobel$ ls

In the end I get the message, that the "ls" operation is not permitted (See also attached picture)

Why I cannot use the ls command when I am in the desktop folder. This is the normal folder where I have all my files.

Terminal doesn't have permission by default to your personal files because of privacy restrictions. Is Terminal in your Full Disk Access / Files and Folders in your Security & Privacy settings in System Preferences?
