When logging onto Facebook ( other social media are available it says my iPhone location is Greenock or somewhere else In Scotland ! Is this usual ( I’m in east anglia really ) thanks

No. This is no usual, if in a different location. It might take some time for it to show up, being this is all based on an IP Address.
