Outdoor Run Average Pace Audio Feedback

The Apple Workout app now announces the Split time and Average Pace - unfortunately they are both the same - the average pace should be over the run and not the split time. I have the split set to 1 km and so every km I get the time it took to run that split but unfortunately also the average pace for that split which is the same of course. Is this a bug or is there a way to change this so that I get the time per km and the average pace for the run itself?
