apple care plus

Please dismiss the name no idea why my name is an apple watch issue...but my question is- has anyone been having trouble buying apple care or apple care plus? As of right now I only have 40 days left before my time to buy apple care plus is gone. I tried to buy it but it doesn't allow me too. I tried to do it using my computer to get the service there but all I get is a "System Currently Unavailable We’re updating our system. Please try again later." I tried pressing the option on my phone but i get the same msg. I got an email a while back about apple care plus and even that doesn't work. Is this a glitch or is the phone itself messed up? I doubt the phone is messed up but I want to get coverage before something happens then I am screwed. If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me. Thanks.

Have you tried the phone number option (if you are in the U.S.)? See the last item in the following from AppleCare Products - Watch - Apple


How to buy

  1. Purchase AppleCare+ with your new Apple Watch.
  2. Or buy it within 60 days of your Apple Watch purchase:
    • On your paired iPhone (go to the Watch app > General > About and choose AppleCare+ Coverage Available)
    • Online (requires you to verify your serial number and run a remote diagnostic)
    • At an Apple Store (inspection of Apple Watch and proof of purchase are required)
    • By calling 800-275-2273 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)
