Phone Camera freezes when taking pictures outside in the dark
I had to turn it off and restart it several times. After the restart camera still freezes
Any Help?
Has this always happened or did it just start? What iOS version? Haven’t personally experienced this but try a forced restart. Force restart iPhone – Apple Support
Not really sure what to tell you other than to have Apple to take a look at it. Like I said, I haven’t personally had the issue on my iPhone 14 Pro Max 256gb which I received on 9/16/2022 and most of the pictures I have taken have been at night/in dark scenarios.

I have had the phone since last week and the phone has the latest IOS 16.0.2 installed.
I was out to a Halloween haunted house where we were outside in the dark
I didn't have this issue on my last phone.
This is very disappointing because the phone has such a great camera and now I have to restart it for the issue to clear for me to take more photos.
I have seen issues with the cameras having issues recently.
