I have a flight simulator (X-Plane 11) which is moving to its next level (X-Plane 12). It requires at least 2 gig of vram. My MBP gpu has 1.5 gig so the new version will not run.
Since the integrated intel Iris gpu uses available ram for vram, how can I select 2 gig plus for vram. I have 16 gig of ram.

you have arbitrarily-much (up to 16GB less what the system reserves) VRAM available already.
If the software-maker does not allow that software to run, the software maker has made an error.

As far as I know, the size of integrated Intel Iris GPU VRAM is controlled by the Graphics Driver and macOS. So I think you can't increase internal GPU VRAM.

Would this software be in the graphic driver or the application?
The application is x-plane 12 which says it needs 2 gigs.
