That will depend on when it was brought. If it's been less than a year, it should be under warranty still.
Wether the issue itself is covered by warranty only an Apple Technician can tell you when they examine it.
If your actions caused it to overheat because it was left in hot car or used in a very hot environment it may not be covered and you would need to pay for the repair.
Since we don't know what happened, there's no way for anyone to tell you wether it will or will not be covered for a free repair.
Yesssssss it’s been under a year it went out a month ago , took it to a iPhone repair shop and they said it’s nothing they can do. So what do I need to do to get this resolved. So are you saying that overheating is not part of the warranty?
Yes it’s been less than a year it was purchased around Black Friday Christmas
