Im using a Mac mini with Monterey 12.6 (21G115) and I created a new user, as a standard account and there were things in the bin from my administrator account. Ho could this happen? Its not cool.

The bin is just an icon in the Finder. It is not a distinct place in the file system. In the case of an external hard drive, items in the bin will be visible to all users, just as they would have been in their original locations.
I created a new account and chose log out from the Apple menu. And then when I went into the new account that I had just created files from the external hard drive that was plugged in in the trash was still there on the new account. Maybe this is just because the external hard disk was still plugged in.

Had the User Logged Out of the Admin Account Before switching to the newly created Standard Account ?
