Problem with enabling FileVault

Hi

When I try to enable the FileVault on my MacBook. I get this error. Can anyone help me to solve this?

BTW, there is no such file stated in the error message.

PS: It maybe related to Jamf. However I've removed it already, but still can't get it to work.

You did not unenroll the laptop from Jamf. At most you just removed some portions of Jamf located on your laptop. There is also a firmware component to the managed Macs since they know to call home (to Apple and the managing MDM) even if you perform a clean install of macOS on them. Only the MDM administrator can remove your laptop from the MDM & Jamf. Even after your laptop has been removed from Jamf and the MDM, I would want to perform a clean install of macOS on it since removing the computer from the MDM does not remove the apps and custom configurations already installed although it should allow you to operate the computer as if it was never managed depending on how tightly locked down the computer is and how highly the MDM customized macOS. I only have a very basic understanding of the MDM as well and this is based on my experiencing with our organization's managed Macs (fully managed, clean install of macOS, and from having a Mac temporarily removed from the MDM).

My knowledge of MDM Services is limited.

From what I do know of MDM Services is that as long as the the Computer Serial Number is registered with the Service, they can still have control of the computer.

They can even re-deploy the JAMF software back onto the computer.

As suggested earlier - you may want to verify with the Service if the Computer Serial Number is still in their Data Based as Enrolled.
