iPhone 13 Battery Health Drop

My iphone 13 battery health went from 100% to 99% after 3 months. Since last September 20 when I update to ios 16, my battery health is decreasing. Battery health has decreased by 4% in the last 20 days. Solve this problem?

In last 2 months my battery health went from 100 to 93. It went from 95 to 94 in a week and then 94 to 93 in 2 days. We are being told that until its above 80% its fine. But the problem is that the rate at which it is declining, it won’t even be a year and it will be below 80%. That too when background refresh and notification are off for majority of apps, don’t play any games on it and also don’t have any social media except for whatsapp and linkedin. The most I do with the phone is spotify.

Something similar happened to me, I had 100% on my iPhone and I had been using it for approximately 4 months, then it went down to 99% and it stayed there for about a week, then it went down to 98, the next day it went down to 97 and today it's at 96. I don't know if it's something bad or not. It is simply updating with the true value of my iPhone. How does the battery behave after this?

I have had my iphone roughly one year and the battery health just now dropped to 99%. It's because I never keep charging the phone when it has reached 100%.

I set an alert on my phone when it reaches 100% and disconnect it immediately. I never charge it overnight and let it sit on the charger when fully charged.

This has worked well for me although I was hoping I could keep that 100% battery health for longer than a year.

I put my phone on a charger literally any time it's not in my hand and have roughly the same battery health.

I couldn't agree with your post more. I've always done the same. My batteries generally last about two and a half to three years. The only times I pay much attention to the battery health number is when the phone is close to the end of its warranty (just in case) and then only if I notice a decrease in performance.

Batteries are too cheap (compared to the price of a phone) to worry about micromanaging them.

Then you don't know how long that phone had been sitting on a shelf not being charged. iPhone 13 was released in 2021, almost 3 years ago. If that phone sat around not being charged, its battery health was already degraded by the time you got it. Lithium iON Batteries which are not charged for extended periods of time lose battery health.

Let's see what it shows for warranty, by going to Settings > General > About and look at the box under Serial Number. Tap it and if my assumption is correct, the phone's warranty may have already expired. iPhone warranty begins the day an iPhone leaves Apple or an actual Apple Authorized Reseller. A gadget shop is not an authorized reseller.

Went to Apple Store in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa here in California, somebody checked my battery and was told it’s ok. They couldn’t check further because I did not have the space-a.k.a I did not subscribe to I cloud.

Now my battery reads 80 percent but got a warning that my battery is low at 10. How can this be? It’s not about the i cloud issue, it’s about the battery draining too fast. Hey Apple, are you even listening?

Checking your battery has nothing to do with subscribing to iCloud. However, if you didn't have enough free space on your phone (something that would not be remedied by subscribing to iCloud), that could cause a problem.

Hey Apple, are you even listening?

No, Apple is not listening here. This is a user-to-user forum. Apple's participation here is largely limited to making sure we stick to the rules.
