Why does the swipe text feature consistently produce wrong words?
iPhone 12 here, fully updated and working properly on everything. Except swipe text. Overall it’s relatively accurate at what I need it to do, but I’m having the same issue a trillion other people are having, which is that the swipe text will NOT stop changing “you” to “your”, “all” to “ask”, “so” to “soo”, “for” to “got”, and many other small words. I’ve searched message boards and apple discussions, and every single time, an apple person replies something like “have you tried turning it off and on? Have you tried restarting the phone? Have you tried resetting the swipe feature? Have you tried resetting the phone? Have you tried slamming the phone on the ground in frustration? If not, you’ll have to contact support”. Does this mean that the person answering the questions IS NOT support? If so, why are they answering? Apple has yet to explain this and claims they can’t find a reason why or proof of it happening for themselves. It’s a minor inconvenience that turns “I’m so happy for all of you” into “I’m soo happy got ask of your”. You would think that after deleting the word and attempting to correct it over 20 times would somehow produce the correct word, but it’s as if it does everything in its power to avoid the word you want. I would add a video for proof but of course I can only add a photo which doesn’t help. I don’t know why but apparently neither does apple. Any comments from apple on this that don’t include the comments people have all already received???
