Displaying Only One Recipient in "To:" Field When Sending Group Email

Is it possible for recipients of a group email to only see their name in the "To:" field of the email? If so, how? Thanks.

The answer is no. Only separate email messages can provide that, or there are some specialty services that can do that from a list you provide them, but they are then sending one message for each recipient. I think it would take a special feature in the SMTP service, and not anything in Mail (or other email clients) to accomplish what you want. It may be possible to automate sending a separate message for each, but if there are 100 people in the list, then 100 messages would be sent. However this might not make you popular with your provider as they sometimes limit the number of messages you can send.

If I bcc myself on an email to a Group, the recipients and I only see <undisclosed recipients> in the "To:" field.

If I go back later to refer to the email, there is no way to see which Group it was sent to. I'd really like to have the Group name in the "To:" field but I don't want each individual's info because it's too unwieldy. Is there a way to resolve this?

Thanks.

I want my groups to know I'm sending to that particular group ... like "Family" so they know it's gone to the others and they know it's not a general email... but all my groups just show up as a terribly unfriendly "undisclosed recipient". When I was using Entourage the groups were sent as I named them... like "Friends" "Family" etc. This is sooo much nicer and explains the reason for sending at times.
Any hope for this or ideas?
Thanks
Diane
