iPad crashes says battery dead and it is not

My iPad crashes saying battery dead I am running IOS 15.7 32 Geg I plug it in to charge and it almost right away starts back up.

Help do I need a new battery iPad is getting old 3 or 4 years old

All rechargeable batteries are consumable items - and have a finite service life before they require replacement.


You might be well advised to seek assistance directly from from Apple Support - and request a remote diagnostic test. You can contact the Support Team using the Get Support link at top-right of this page. Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad. If battery replacement is required, you’ll be in the beet possible place to explore your available options:
