ImageCaptureCore error -9956

Since upgrading to iOS 16, photos no longer sync from my phone to Photos.app (running on MacOS 10.14). Every photo & video & screen capture taken since the iOS upgrade appears in Photos as eligible for import, but when I try to import they each throw error -9956.

I've tried both options in iOS Settings>Photos>Transfer to Mac or PC and they give the same result.

(com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9937.). An error occurred while importing." I've never encountered this error previously while performing the same operation the past few years. The photos and videos display properly on her iPhone as well as on her laptop in Image Capture and also in Photos when her iPhone is connected and selected as one would do prior to beginning the Import process in Photos. Photos app on Mac won't import photos from iPhone 12 (com.apple.IMageCaptureCore error -9956) I recently bought an iPhone 12 and restored my old iPhone X backup onto it from iTunes. Now when I try to import my iPhone 12's photos into the Photos app on my 2015 MacBook Pro (macOS Mojave 10.14.6), I get the following error message for ALL photos: This item cannot be added to your Photo library because it may be an unrecognizable file format or the file may not contain valid data. The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.IMageCaptureCore error -9956) I've also tried this operation on my 2013 Mac Pro and got the same error message. Please help! Thanks. Brian

I am getting imagecapturecore error -9937 when I try to transfer my iphone photos to iMac How can I solve this import problem? Seems to have started when my iPhone updated to 16.0.2. I use Photos Version 3.0 (3291.13.210) , my 2012 iMac is High Sierra 10.13.6 "Some photos cannot be added to your Photo library because they may be an unrecognizable format or the file may not contain valid data." No photos transfer, however, I can get a iphone screenshot to transfer.

It happens the same here. Every time I try to add my iPhone 8 pictures into Photos, I get this message: The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.imageCaptureCore error -9937.)

3 updates to IOS 16 later... we still have no solution to it?

Many have this problem with iOS 16, seems several updates to 16 have not fixed it.
