Hello meqqee34,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see you have some questions about the storage on your iPhone, and we'd like to help. The following link can help with setting up Notes with iCloud, which may help with what you're seeing: Set up iCloud for Notes on all your devices - Apple Support

Set up iCloud for Notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1) On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
2) Do one of the following:
•iOS 16: Tap Show All, tap Notes, then turn on Sync this iPhone.
•iOS 15, iPadOS 15, or earlier: Turn on Notes.
3) To view notes stored in iCloud, open the Notes app. In the Folder list, select All iCloud or a folder in the iCloud section.
For more information on how to collaborate on notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, see any of the following:
•iPhone User Guide: Share notes and collaborate on iPhone
•iPad User Guide: Share notes and collaborate on iPad
