my apple watch charger is not charging my watch

My Series 1 (don't laugh, it does what I need) apple watch isn't, getting charged by the apple charging cable that came with it. I've tried different usb charging blocks, the laptop, and direct connection into a power outlet. The back of the watch doesn't light up when connecting the charging disk either. This began a few days ago, and would sometimes charge after I disconnected and connected several times, or when I unplugged and plugged in the usb charging block, or the watch would ding several times like it was connecting and disconnecting itself. help?
