dark display macbook with windows

Just installed Windows 10 on Macbook pro 2017 with retina 13" on Monteray. When I load Windows via BootCamp the display backlight switches completely off after showing the windows logo for a second. The display works, if I light it with a flashlight I can see windows desktop. But without an external flashlight the display does not emit any light at all even on maximum display brightness setting.

Hi shuma_mike,

Let's try to resolve the issue by completing the steps listed here: If the Boot Camp installer doesn't open after using Boot Camp Assistant - Apple Support

  1. "From File Explorer, open the OSXRESERVED partition, which is usually the D drive.

If you don't have this OSXRESERVED partition, follow the steps to download and install Windows support software instead of the steps in this article.

2. Open the BootCamp folder, then open Setup. Open Setup only from this folder, not another location.*

3. When you're asked to allow Boot Camp to make changes to your device, click Yes.

4. Click Repair to begin installation.

5. After installation completes, click Finish, then click Yes when you're asked to restart your Mac. "

Best regards
