Everything is working perfectly fine in my car and the radio but when k connect my phone for the apply car okay it only shows half of the screen but is still playing the music my phone is updated to the latest iOS and my car is a 2017 Chevy Malibu help?

Thanks for connecting with us here in Apple Support Communities. As we understand it, once you connect to your car stereo using CarPlay, only half the screen is showing on the stereo. Is that correct? If so, you'll want to check for any firmware updates that may be available for the car stereo. You may need to reach out to the car manufacturer to see how to do this.
