Hello screen in loop

I got restored my back up from iPhone 8 on to iPhone 12 from iTunes. After completing the back up, I got hello screen entered wifi details, it displays "Software Update Complete" Your iPhone has been updated to iOS 16.03 with Continue button. When I clicked on this button, it goes back to hello screen. Never shows up to next step. Its a complete loop. Tried different options to restart, restore. I can see my home screen also it rings alarm at 7 am morning as I have in my iPhone 8.

Appreciate any help?

Finally this got resolved by following step4 at: If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support. The catch is that I have to keep doing this a couple of times. The restore process worked during third time. There can be lot of parameters, a good network availability is essential while going through the restore process. Thanks!
