How do you import photos from iPhone 6s to MacBook Air M1?
I currently don't have an ISP apart from my phone contract. I've tried a USB connection but the phone is invisible on my Mac. Thanks.

Try the included app Image Capture from your Applications folder. Even though your phone doesn't appear in the finder, Image Capture should find it and present you with its pictures. You can select the ones you want and tell it where to put them.
