To clarify, is the music stopping as soon as you start a timer? Or is the music stopping when the timer ends?
If it's the latter, that is how it's designed. When a timer completes and it plays whatever sound you have set, it will pause the music to play that timer sound. Once you dismiss the timer, the music will resume.

The music stops when the timer ends or alarm sounds an alert. It used to resume upon dismissal. However, the music doesn’t resume upon dismissal anymore.
