My Apple watch

This is my second Apple watch, I have the same problem I have had with the first one. The face has detached from the watch while wearing it. Is this an ongoing problem and what should I do?

Apple Watch Series 3, watchOS 6

I have owned Apple Watch Series 3, 4, 6, 7 and now Ultra, and never had I had the face detach from any. When the watch detaches, it means the battery has swelled and the watch needs to be replaced. This can honestly happen to any device which has a Lion battery inside. It's not a common problem, but it can happen and usually happens when the battery us used beyond its useful life. Batteries don't last forever. Apple now provides a Battery Health meter in settings. If you buy another Apple Watch, this is something you'll want to check from time to time and when Battery Health dips to 80% or less, it will then be time to either buy a new watch or pay Apple for a Battery Service.

Turn your watch off and stop using it. Schedule an Appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options.
