Can't sign into icloud on 2015 MacBook Air

Ive cant get signed into my iCloud account on my MacBook, when i enter my password it says its an incorrect passsword but i know it's not because i just reset the password and i can log in with said password on other devices. I can sign into my Messages and FaceTime just fine, t's only when i try to sign in to iCloud in 'system preferences '.

Mac icloud log in Nothing happens when I try to sign into my icloud on my macOS Monterey version 12.6.1. My macbook air is older, early 2015 version. I know my ID and password are correct, I have tried turning off and turning on, I have tried redownloading the MacOS Monterey update, I have tried changing my ID but nothing seems to work. When I type in my ID and password it just goes right back to needing to put in my ID again., without actually logging in. It doesn't give me the option to enter a 2 factor authorisation. It says incorrect password when I try logging into my iCloud When I try to log into my icloud/apple id on the app store, or keychain it says incorrect password even though it is the right one, but when I do log into the actual iCloud tab, it works. I have reset it multiple times, but still no luck. I am currently running on OS X Yosemite on a mac from late 2014, but I wanted to update as this was an older mac that i just recently found.

Unable to sign in with apple ID on mac I have purchased a new Macbook Air and am unable to sign in with my apple ID. I am able to sign in and out of my apple ID on my iPhone with no issue. I am using the exact same password and email as username. Everytime i try and sign into my apple ID via the "Settings" on Macbook Air it just keeps taking me back to the sign in screen, there's no error message or reason provided as to why it didn't accept my login credentials. I've tried to do this multiple times over the past few months but it won't let me log in. I've clicked "Forgot password" and changed my apple ID password a few times, but no matter what I do, I can't log in with Apple ID on my computer. All software updates are current and I have no other issues/ problems with the Macbook Air. Any advice?
