How to Fix USB Files Not Showing But Space Used Issue?

I have been using a USB to store my important files and it started showing no files in my USB even though I can see the used space on the disk utility.

How can I see my files? I ran an antivirus and no virus was found. How can I make them visible without paying for an application to restore data by spending money?

I solved the issue by using "Command+ Shift+. (period)". This made hidden files appear and I was able to recover them.
