Does the MacBook Air M1 turn off when I close the lid?

I wanted to download something large overnight, so I toggled on "Prevent automatic sleeping on power adapter when the display is off" which can be found by going to System Settings > Display > Advanced. Now the reason is over, I want to turn it off, however this is not possible. It is like there is an elastic mechanism that keeps the toggle on no matter what I try. Simply pressing on the left part of the toggle doesn't work, dragging the toggle to the off section automatically returns to on immediately. Any help?

Closing the display causes a Mac to enter sleep mode.
