Cellular data turned off - getting rid of the notification

Hey everyone,

Currently with my iPhone 4, I've been experiencing more of a nuisance than a problem.

Whenever I'm away from home and really want to save battery, I'll turn off my wifi. However, since I have only 200MB a month, I also turn off my cellular data in order to avoid going over my plan. Because the iPhone is such an ingenious device, it finds the need to tell me every minute or so that my cellular data is turned off. So I just press okay and continue on with texting or whatever I was doing. And then it'll interrupt again. And again. You get the idea.

Any way to turn this notification off? I've turned off all of my push notifications, including email. Help would be very much appreciated.

i had this problem before when im using SMS. turning off face time under Settings -> Phone or under Settings -> General -> Restrictions, solve the problem. BUT, make sure you reboot your iphone afterwards for the settings to take effect. hope this helps. thanks.

Facetime DOESN'T apply to the 3GS so this doesn't help 😟

Wifi Off

Notifications Off

Location Serv off

Game Centre Restricted

Phone rebooted

and STILL the annoying message pops up. It's such a PITA. If the phone is so smart it's a pity it doesn't realise the user has turned data etc off because the user WANTS to. Even if it came up just once would be OK. But EVERY time you open messages or try to SMS.

to this day there isn't a fix and looks like there is none... thanks apple I'll be going android next because you refuse to support your previous customers!

I had similar problem on iPhone 3G on ios 4.1, i turned off MMS and Notifications and now I dont get the pop up msg.
