Hi,

Make sure you are signed into iCloud Settings in Settings > Name > iCloud.

If you are, then sign out of iCloud Settings and then sign back in. After you sign back in, try to set up Apple Cash and Apple Pay again in Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.

If the issue persists, and you have disabled Lost Mode, reset all settings and then try to set up Apple Cash and Apple Pay again.

  • Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Note: After Resetting All Settings, prior to setting up Apple Cash or Pay, you will first need to go to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive > Use Apple ID for iMessage. Make sure it’s signed in. Then do the same thing for FaceTime.

Afterwards, go to Settings > Face ID and Passcode > set up Face ID and a Passcode, or just a Passcode. After thats been done, you can go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay and try to set it up again.

IF the issue persists afterwards, contact Apple Support again.

Hey ceri246,

We'd be happy to help out. Sounds like you enabled Lost Mode on your iPhone, which disabled Apple Pay, but you've since found your iPhone and unable to get your cards working again.

To clarify, your cards weren't able to be used after disabling Lost Mode upon finding your iPhone? Sounds like you then attempted to delete the cards and add them back. What happens when you add them back? What error is received?

We'd suggest working through the following steps which directly assist with issues adding a card:

1. Check that you're able to use Apple Pay:
• Contact your card issuer to see if they support Apple Pay.
• Update to the latest version of iOS or iPadOSwatchOS, or macOS.
• Make sure that you are in a supported country or region.
• Check that your device is compatible with Apple Pay.
2. Check for services outages or connection issues.
3. If you see the message "Could Not Add Card" or "Invalid Card," contact your bank or card issuer.

Apple does not approve or decline cards for use with Apple Pay. If your card was declined, contact your bank or card issuer.

If you need help adding a card, learn how to set up Apple Pay.

All this information and more is available here: If you can't add a card to Apple Wallet to use with Apple Pay - Apple Support

We hope this helps out.

Take care!
