I've setup parental controls, but unfortunately the "ask to buy" notifications aren't showing up on my iPhone. They do show up on another iPad (same parent appleID as the phone).
My guess is that I somehow muted them on my phone? What setting can I change to unmute them?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We suggest checking the Do Not Disturb settings to help with this trouble you're having. Go to Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb, and make sure there are no apps listed under "Apps" beneath "Allowed Notifications". Further info is found in the Apple Support article:

More than once, the issue for me has been that I needed to update the iOS software on my iPhone through Settings | General | Software Update. Once updated, Ask To Buy starts working again!
