BROKEN SCREEN

I bought my IPad Pro 11 3rd gen last June this year and unfortunately after 5 days I accidentally drop it and caused it to have a dent on the right lower edge causing it to have a broken line across the screen but I can still use the device .

I immediately went back to the store having in mind the 1 year warranty that is still in place (no apple care since the guy who helped us didn’t even offer it ) and they told me uncles I pay 4k+ hongkong dollars they cannot help me.

Should I still go back and have it repaired considering they should do it for free since I still have the warranty ? And still covered by Consumer Law?Please any thoughts?

First, most Apple Store locations and most resellers do not repair iPads, but only offers in/out of warranty device replacment.

The free, one year AppleCare ( no + sign ) warranty only covers manufacturer/manufacturing defects and NOT damges caused by the user.

If you had purchased the paid, extended AppleCare+, such damage would have been covered and a replacement device would have only cost you a small device replacement fee.

Without the paid extended coverage, a device replacement is going to cost a very expensive 60% of that iPad's full Apple retail price.

As it stands, you are simply going to have to decide whether to use this iPad as is or paid the very expensive device replacement fee.

Sorry & Good Luck to You!
