My wife's card was compromised and cancelled. She is waiting for another card but her apple.com $2.99 will be due before her new card comes. Should she do anything about it ?

First: We are not Apple; but just other users w/o any access to your account or “inside knowledge” of Apple’s billing.

However, regular recurring credit card charges generally are coded so that they’ll still go thru.

This is a fairly common situation which card issuers deal with routinely.

To ease your concerns, you might confirm with your card issuer, but you should be fine.
