Mail asking for 'privateKey' password after installing certificate through Adobe Acrobat

One of our user computers has an issue with the Mail constantly asking for a 'privateKey' password. Reading several forums, it appears the solution is to delete the certificate in the Keychain Access - My Certificates. Mail works for one email. However, within 10 minutes this certificate is added back into the Keychain. I have deleted all certificates in Adobe, deleted all certificates in My Certificates in Keychain Access, reinstalled Adobe, applied all system updates, and still this issue persists. Any more ideas?

Hello there TaffyMB,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. If the Mac keeps asking for this password, follow the guidance provided in the Apple Support article: If your Mac keeps asking for your keychain password - Apple Support

In the Keychain Access app  on your Mac, click “login” in the Keychains list.
Choose Edit > Change Settings for Keychain “login.”
Select the “Lock after” checkbox, then enter a number of minutes.
If you want to require a password each time the computer goes to sleep, select the “Lock when sleeping” checkbox.
Click Save.

Should this issue persist, get in touch with Apple Support for further assistance:
