TURNING OFF Built-In Retina Desplay ONCE AND FOR ALL
I might have a tough one for the community. I'd like to know how to COMPLETELY turn off the Built-In Retina Display on my MacBook Pro, even if it means doing so permanently.
----------SHORT VERSION----------
My Built-In Retina display is BROKEN
I do not have the money to replace it
I require the constant use of multiple monitors on this particular MacBook Pro of mine
Mirroring Displays is NOT a solution.
Using/downloading other apps is NOT a solution.
Downgrading to one monitor is NOT a solution.
Dimming the Built-In Retina display is NOT a solution.
Clamshell Mode is NOT a solution.
Hot Corners is NOT a solution.
----------DETAILED VERSION----------
I am using multiple External Monitors at all times.
When I open apps, they get stuck on the dead built-in Retina display, so I can't conventionally use the mouse to drag them back over to my other screens. Obviously, I can't see where the mouse is on a black screen.
So the simplest solution is to go to System Preferences, Displays, and click the arrangement tab to I can continue my "operation" which requires multiple monitors and the amount of space they give me. From there, I hoped to disable to built-in display, but I couldn't. Since then, I've been running into all kinds of trouble that has wasted so much valuable time and negatively affected my productivity.
If there's no solution, what's the REASON that there's no solution to my problem?
I'm highly appreciative of everyone's time and effort in answering my question!
Thanks!
