What do I need to stream channels with only the internet connected to my TV

You would need a smart TV or a streaming box like an Apple TV box, Roku, Fire TV, Google Tv etc...

If you have a smart TV or a non-Apple streaming box download the "channel" apps you wish to stream from to the TV or streaming box from its own app store as indicated in its user manual.
If you have an Apple TV box 4th generation or later, you can download Apps to it from Apple's App Store: link-> Download apps on your Apple TV - Apple Support
If you have a 3rd generation Apple TV or earlier, it is a bit too old, and only gets whatever channels are available for that model and there is no way to add new channels to it.
