iPhone 11 keyboard: half upper part key not working in portrait

Hello everyone,

I’m coming from iPhone 6S. I never had any issue with this keyboard before.

But here with my reconditioned certified iPhone 11, when using phone in portrait, I have to type the bottom part of each keys to see the right letter being displayed. If I type on the upper part of the key or right in the middle, nothing gets written. I observed the same thing when entering my phone passcode.

While holding phone in portrait mode, I observed that 40% of the lower screen is much less sensitive compared to the upper part.

When using the phone in landscape mode, I found out that this is no more an issue if I type the keys in the middle EXCEPT for keys like q, a, s, z (located on the left, meaning lower part of the screen).

Problem is the same after hard reboot, after resetting keyboard dictionary, after removing all options of keyboard.

Am I alone in this situation?

Can a part of a screen be less sensitive than other part?

How to solve this issue?

I did all tests with screen protector and with no phone case. I run latest iOS 16.0.3.

thanks for your help!!

No I would say arrange a service or repair at Apple for the probable screen failure but if there are foreign parts you have no remedy at Apple. Your consumer rights in most countries for such a recent purchase would indicate a refund..

Is this normal screen behaviour? No.
