I have an iPhone SE series 1 that has a non-functioning top button. I am replacing it with a iPhone SE series 2. I powered off the series 1 to remove its SIM card. I need to power on the series 1 to get access to app data, but I can't get it to power on. Any suggestions?

I got help from the Genius Bar at our local Apple Store. Silly me, but to power on a iPhone SE series 1 you just have to plug in the power cable. The top button is not required.
