Iphone 13 cursor glitches to the left of "To:" when creating a new text

This happens roughly 30% of the time.

When I go to create a new text, instead of the cursor blinking to the right of "To:" as it should, it is before it and lags for about 3 seconds before registering anything I type in. It'll then jump to it's correct position and type out whatever I had put in. Sometimes the entire messaging just freezes completely when this happens and I have to restart the application.

I hope this makes sense, I've tried to take a video but every time I try to it works fine.
