Using % Precipitation chance in a iOS shortcut to control Eve watering valve. BUT.. different results on iPad Vs iPhone

I am trying to create a shortcut for my Eve watering device (linked to HomeKit) , using the create siri shortcut. It all seems to work fine, BUT when I run the shortcut on my iPhone (iOS 16.0.3) and then run the same shortcut that is on my iPad Pro (ver 15.7), I get different precipitation chance percentage , eg iPhone shortcut says 35% chance of rain and iPad pro shows 50% chance of rain!! This is the exact same shortcut that I created on my iPhone and then shared via iCloud to my iPad , why am I getting different results? Have checked the location in the shortcut setup and it is correct and the same on both devices . Could it be something to do with the Weather app by Apple does not seem to be available for the iPad?.

Good news ! with the update to iPad OS 16 today this issue is NO more, I now get the same precipitation chance % on iPad and iPhone, as we now have the Apple Weather app loaded on the iPad. Happy days.

My guess is the devices are using different weather forecast systems; weather.com vs dark sky ?

check preference is system prefs

My quick check of weather in sys prefs doesn’t show and way to change the source.

So what I do when I get to a spot like this is to call 1-800-MY-APPLE and get technical support over the phone.

They are a great resource that in my opinion is way under utilized.

Yes, that's what I think is happening too. The iPhone has the Weather app by Apple which I think is the dark sky weather app you are referring too, but this is NOT installed on the iPad, and when I try to install it it says unable to install this app on iPad. Had a look all around settings in could not see where you set the source of weather condition data from? any further help you can provide would be appreciated.
