iPhone 12 Pro Max not Working: Can it be replaced?

Good Day to everyone! I would like to seek help because my Mom's iPhone 12 Pro Max suddenly stopped working, and we already brought it to the nearest Apple Store to know the issue. They said that the issue was the Board/Hardware issue. The iPhone is only 1 year and 3 months old and ever since My Mom hasn't dropped it on the ground/water, and it hasn't been opened internally (The Apple Employee Confirmed). I would like to as if it can be replaced or refunded. I haven't purchased Apple Care, and the warranty only covers 1 year. I only exceeded by 3 months. Can it be replaced? We haven't fully paid for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, that's why I'm sad and anxious at the same time. My iPhone 8+ is 5 years old and still working, however, the iPhone 12 that my Mom used is only 1 year and 3 months and it's not working anymore. Please help us with our concerns. Thank you very much!

Hello,

If it is out-of-warranty with no AppleCare+ there is not much that anyone can do. You might try taking it to another location to get a second opinion:

Good luck.
